STAIRWAY TO REMEMBER
There were a total of 2,071 stairs in the world trade center. This personal challenge is to accumulate 2,071 stairs during the week of 9/7 – 9/12 in remembrance of those who lost their lives climbing the towers during 9/11. Members can use the Climb Mill or Stepper machines to track their steps. Members may also offer their own tribute by adding a few extra climbs up the stairs at the YMCA during that week. Choose to track your stairs towards our grand total, or remember 9/11 personally as your own tribute.
W.O.W.—WOMEN ON WEIGHTS
Work with Wellness Coach, Jesse Kelley, as he teaches you the proper way to exercise using free weights, one muscle group at a time. A different muscle group is targeted each week using free weights. You will be taken through a range of 3-4 different exercises for each muscle group. Plenty of hands-on practice doing the movements correctly and safely, all under the supervision of a coach with 26 years of personal experience using free weights.
Open Gym can be utilized by members. Equipment and basketballs are available for use! Come and shoot some hoops, play pickleball or start a game of volleyball – it’s open for you!
