SOCIAL EVENTS

MEMBER LUNCHEONS

Join your friends for lunch.  Members are invited to a luncheon hosted at the YMCA one Thursday a month.  Bring a favorite dish, side dish or dessert to share with the group.  The Y will provide the drinks, plates and silverware.

Luncheon dates are:

  • Thursday, March 19 at 12:00 pm—Soup & Salad Soire—Bring a soup, salad, bread or dessert to share while we celebrate the fact that spring is just around the corner!
  • Thursday, April 16 at 12:00 pm—Tailgate Party—Let’s have a little fun at our indoor tailgate party. Bring a traditional tailgate food and let’s gather!
  • Thursday, May 21 at 12:00 pm—Cinco De Mayo—We’re celebrating Cinco de Mayo with your favorite Mexican dishes! Pick a favorite dish to share and let’s gather for some fun!

MEMBER CHALLENGES

LOSE TO WIN

Held April 6th—May 29, 2020.  Lose 6% of your body weight in 8 weeks and win gift cards!  Weigh in at the Y between March 30 and April 5th during regular hours.  Complete your final weigh from May 26 – May 29th from 5 am to 9 pm.  $20 for each participant goes to the winner’s pot.  Winners take home the entire pot.  $25/Members; $35/Non-members.

New! CARD CLUB

Card club is held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month in the Multipurpose Room from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Bring a deck of cards or a board game and lets enjoy an afternoon of fun!  FREE for Members.

SILVER SNEAKERS BREAKFAST

This group meets once a month at the County Seat Restaurant in downtown Clarion at 8 am.  Join us the last Friday of every month!  Call the YMCA to let us know you will attend.  The YMCA  makes the reservations.

BINGO

Connect within the community and try and win some money! This is a great opportunity to make some new friends, have fun and enjoy playing a game.  Y Bingo includes 10 games, a $50/50 raffle, and a weekly jackpot chance.  Bingo meets on Tuesdays  in the  Multipurpose Room from 1—2:30 pm. Open to the Public; $10/Bingo Card.

GYM ACTIVITIES

OPEN GYM

Open Gym can be utilized by members.  Equipment and basketballs are available for use! Come and shoot some hoops, play pickleball or start a game of volleyball – it’s open for you!

PICKLEBALL—OPEN PLAY

Come and play America’s fastest growing sport! Pickleball is a paddle sport accessible for all ages and skills. The rules are simple and easy to pick up and play for beginners and can quickly progress into a fast paced and competitive game for more experienced players.

ADULT PROGRAMS

PICKLEBALL GROUP LESSONS

Pickleball Group Lessons are available for adults.  Learn from experienced players.  Join us on Thursdays from 9 am to 10 am. Held Thursdays, April 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; Gym Side 1.  $15/Member; $25/Non-member.

NEW VOLLEYBALL 3 vs. 3

Adult Volleyball is for ages 18+ and begins in April.  Games will be held on Thursdays from  7—10 pm.  All teams will participate in 6 regular season games.  First games begin April 2.  Deadline to enter a team is March 24.  Fee per team is $150.  Team fee is due March 24.

CPR/AED/FIRST AID CERTIFICATION at the YMCA

Get certified in Adult, Infant & Child CPR, AED and First Aid at the YMCA!  Classes are taught by Dr. Amy Shannonhouse.  Held from 4:30—9:00 pm. (Only one night of class is required to become certified.) $35 Fee—Open to Public!  CPR Classes are offered monthly.

HEALTHY FRIENDS REHABILITATION

The YMCA Healthy Friends program is a supervised fitness program available for clients who have sustained an injury, illness or cardiac event and need supervised care. This program benefits those who have completed a supervised therapy program and are looking to transition into a gym setting to stay strong and active. Healthy Friends meets two days per week for 1.25 hours per day. Please register at the YMCA or call 814-764-3400.

  • Session A: Tues/Thurs. 8:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
  • Session B: Tues/Thurs. 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
  • Session C: Mon./Wed. 1:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Monthly Fee: $20/Member; $60/Non-Members



PERSONAL TRAINING

PERSONAL & SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Get results now.Work one-on-one or in a small group (2-4 people) with a Certified Personal Trainer to get the results you want.Our trainers are professionally accredited, experienced and knowledgeable.Their knowledge will enhance your ability to reach new levels in your personal fitness and well-being.This is a great way to add direction, accountability, andunlimited access to fitness advice and motivation.$28 YMCA Member, $40 non-members per one hour session.*Program design purchased separately.


PERSONAL PROGRAM DESIGN

Have a custom program designed around your goals and fitness level.Our Certified Personal Trainers will assess your abilities and design an appropriate program to meet your goals.Each program is designed for 4-6 weeks. The program upgrade is used in the progression of your wellness journey.Cost is per 4-6 week program:Initial Design: $75 Upgrades: $25 each.*Personal training sessions purchased separately.


FREE SMART START PROGRAM

Smart Start is a program that provides you with the tools and knowledge you need to reach your fitness goals. The program is customized to your needs and will help you set attainable goals to provide the ongoing support necessary for your success. In three short meetings, we can take you from an exercise skeptic to a confident individual who is excited about working out. In just a few sessions, you will gain the tools and resources to help you succeed.This service is available to for members ages 12 and up within 30 days of joining the YMCA.
