YMCA COLOR RUN
Details coming soon! Live life in color with the first ever Scenic Rivers YMCA Color Run. This event is to support health and happiness by bringing the community together. There will be extra fun for families with music and activities. Receive a white t-shirt and come to have fun. More details to come.
KIDS CHESS CLUB
Learn a strategic game that strengthens the mind. Chess Club is open to ages 6 and up. The program meets from 4-5 pm every Monday in the Multipurpose Room. Bring your own board or use ours. Cost: Free/members; $10/Non-members.
Bring your guitar and open jam with friends once a month. Learn new songs and share your love of music with people like you. Meets the last Tuesday of each month from 4:00—5:00 pm in the multipurpose room. Guitar Club is for ages 12+. All experience levels are welcome. Cost: Free/members; $10/Non-members per month.
Learn the art of wiffle. This fun league is like a backyard game of baseball except indoors with a plastic bat and wiffleball. Diamond will be set up with rubber bases around the YMCA gym. Teams will be separated each week and we’ll play multiple innings. Wiffleball is for ages 6-12 and runs Saturdays, March 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 11 am.
CAPTURE THE FLAG—MARCH
Capture the flag will be your child’s new favorite game. Each team hides their flag and has to capture their opponent’s flag without getting tagged. Obstacles will be available. This game is for ages 6 & older. Teams will be separated by age based on the number of registrations. Held Thursday, March 25; 5:00—6:00 pm. Free for Members; $5 for Non-members.
TEEN 3-ON-3 MARCH MADNESS BASKETBALL LEAGUE
This league will have three divisions: Teens age 13-14, 15-16, & 17-19. The tournament will be bracket style format and games will take place Friday nights from 7-9 pm. The league will be held March 5, 12, 19, & 26. Cost: $100/team.
YOUTH CHEER CLINIC
Learn fundamentals and skills from the Clarion University Cheer Team and CUP Head Coach Diana Brown. Participants will have the opportunity to learn cheers, routines and jumps that bring everyone together. Held Wednesdays and Saturdays in March and April. BORN TO RUN
This six week running program is for ages 6-12 and meets Saturday mornings. The focus is on proper running technique, stretching, strengthening, and conditioning. At the end of the program, the participants have the opportunity to take part in the YMCA Color Run (registration fee will be waived). All participants will receive t-shirts. $30/Members; $45/Non-members. Runs May 8—June 12. Register by May 1.
MICROSPORTS FOR MINIS – Register by April 10
This fun new rotation program provides the opportunity for your child to try new sports over three months. The program is held on Monday nights from 4:00—5:00 pm at the YMCA. Register by April 10. Monday Nights; 4:00—5:00 pm. $40/Members; $52/non-members,

Indoor hockey for ages 5-12 will teach fundamentals of hockey followed by mini games. Ages 5-8 play Friday night and ages 9-12 play Saturday mornings. Program held in the YMCA gym. Shin guards recommended. YMCA will have sticks available. The final week of the program will have a friendly skills competition for each division. Ages 9-12; Saturdays, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm; April 3, 10, 17, 24. Ages 5-8; Fridays, 5:00—6:00 pm; April 9, 16, 23, 30.
OUTDOOR SOCCER CLINIC– MAY
This outdoor soccer clinic for ages 4-12 will focus on skill development and fundamentals, followed by mini-games. Games will be hosted at the YMCA field or Clarion County Park. Register by May 5. Fridays, 5:00-6:00 pm, May 7, 14, 21, 28. Cost $18/Members; $36/Non-members.
CO-ED VOLLEYBALL CLINIC-MAY
This clinic will focus on basic fundamentals of hitting, passing, serving, and setting techniques. Perfect introductory program for youth desiring to learn more advanced volleyball skills. Grades 6-8; Wednesdays; 5:00—6:00 pm; May 5, 12, 19, 26. $18/Member; $36/Non-member.
BUILD A BLUEBIRD HOUSE-MAY
Join our Property Manager, Henry Sherman, as he teaches you and your family how to build a bluebird box this Spring. Henry will take you A-Z from starting materials to finished product. One box per family. Please pre-register by April 24. Bring your own hammer! Held May 1 at 10:00 am. $10/Members; $20/Non-members.
FRIDAY FREE PLAY
Join the fun in the gym/outdoor field on Fridays after school! Y staff will organize monthly games and activities from 4:00—5:00 pm for ages 6-12. Games have a neighborhood feel. March—Indoor Soccer, April—Flag Football, May—Kickball. Free to Members!
FLAG FOOTBALL CLINIC—JUNE
This outdoor flag football clinic for ages 6-12 will focus on the fundamentals of football. Short practices will be held each week prior to a game. Age groups will be separated to even playing experience. Games will be held every Friday in June from 5-6 pm. Fridays in June; 5:00—6:00 pm; Cost $18/Members; $36/Non-members.
7th GRADE INITIATIVE
The Clarion County YMCA will be offering free memberships to 7th Grade Students in 2020. Memberships will be free during the school year. To register, student must bring proof of grade level (school ID, class roster, report card) along with a parent or guardian. After registering, 7th grade students will have the opportunity to use the YMCA facilities to swim, play in the gym, or enjoy teen activities.
