CAMP COFFMAN FAMILY DAY & OPEN HOUSE

Admission by Donation!  Rain or Shine!

Held Sunday, May 21 from 3-6 pm at Camp Coffman

1st & 2nd GRADE BASKETBALL CLINICS

This program will consist of educational clinics and controlled mini-games for children in 1st and 2nd grade. Skills will be introduced to help children learn proper dribbling, passing, shooting and defense. Controlled mini-games will help participants practice the skills they’ve learned and have fun! Choose from one of two sessions offered on Saturday mornings, Session 1 is at 9 am and Session 2 is at 10:30 am. Action begins March 25th. Space is limited,

INDOOR HOCKEY

This is a 6-week skills clinic to learn the game of hockey. The program is open to ages 6-12. Participants will learn stickhandling, passing, shooting, defense and positioning. Each session will include a short practice followed by controlled games. YMCA has equipment available. If bringing your own stick, it must have plastic blade. Shin guards are optional, but recommended. This is footer hockey, without skates. Athletic shoes only. Begins March 23. Runs through April 27. Space is limited. Choose one of two sessions (4:30 or 5:45 pm) Sessions will be one hour.

MOTHER SON DANCE

FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE

HOME SCHOOL GYM & SWIM

Home school open swim and gym is an opportunity for youth who attend a home-based school to meet others in the gym and pool each Friday from 1:00—2:30 each week. All family members are welcome.

Monthly fee:  Free/Members; $30/Non-member Families

TEEN MARCH MADNESS 3-on-3

This is a single-night tournament for teens (13-18) and will run on Friday evening, March 24th, from 7 pm to 9 pm. This will be a round-robin format, including a playoff round.  Games will be half court, 3vs.3 with a 10 minute running clock.  Prizes for top 3 finishers.

MICRO SOCCER For ages 4-5

This 6-week introductory program will teach your child the fundamentals of soccer including proper techniques for dribbling, passing, and shooting. Sessions will be 45-minutes with interactive drills to practice key elements of soccer. The program will focus on skill acquisition and development in a nurturing environment, eventually building towards playing fun mini-games for the kids. Session is limited to first 25 participants.

  • Wednesdays, March 15 – April 19, 4:30 to 5:15 pm.

  • Cost:  $25 M, $50 NM

SPRING SOCCER CLINIC

This outdoor clinic for ages 6-12 will run six weeks on Thursdays, beginning May 4 through June 8 at the YMCA. Sessions will be from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The program will focus on fundamentals of soccer including dribbling, passing and shooting. The first half of      practice will introduce skills and drills while the second half will be controlled games with coaching moments. This is a great tune-up for our summer soccer season. Great skill sharpener for beginner to intermediate player!

7th GRADE INITIATIVE

The Clarion County YMCA will be offering free memberships to 7th Grade Students. Memberships are free during the school year. To register, student must bring proof of grade level (school ID, class roster, report card) along with a parent or guardian. After registering, 7th grade students will have the opportunity to use the YMCA facilities to swim, play in the gym, or enjoy teen activities.
