Registration for YMCA Summer Day Camp is now open for youth ages six to twelve through the Clarion County YMCA and the Oil City YMCA.

YMCA Summer Day Camp is a unique experience in outdoor adventure, horseback riding, hiking, crafts and games, fishing, boating, field trips, and nature experiences for children ages 6-12. Theme weeks provide fun, new adventures each week.

2019 Camp Coffman Theme Weeks Include:

WEEK 1 – JUNE 5 – 7 IGNITE YOUR SUMMER
Help us set the tone and kick off summer right with outdoor games, crafts sports and a variety of “get to know you” activities.

FIELD TRIP: Wagon Trails

WEEK 2 – JUNE 10-14 BALLS, BALLS, BALLS
If there is a game that involves a ball, we will play it. Don’t waste another summer playing video games and twiddling your thumbs! Kickball, dodgeball, and gaga ball are just a few games will will play this week.

FIELD TRIP: Bowling and Swimming

WEEK 3 – JUNE 17 – 21 DISNEY ADVENTURE
You don’t need to leave your home to enjoy a Disney vacation. Campers who love Disney can build their day around a Disney movie! Each day, choose a different Disney movie, create activities to make a fun-filled day. Pop some popcorn, grab some drinks and watch a Disney movie to set your theme for each day. Create unique crafts around your theme. Have a karaoke time with all of your favorite Disney songs. Eat a meal based on a Disney movie!

FIELD TRIP: Two Mile Run County Park

WEEK 4 – JUNE 24 – 28 MAD SCIENCE
Unleash your imagination. Welcome to the world of amazing experiments and cool activities that make you say, “WOW”. Explore the fascinating world of science and technology through hands-on expiriments.

FIELD TRIP: Carnegie Science Center

WEEK 5 – JULY 1 – 5 (CLOSED JULY 4) RED, WHITE AND YOU
Show your American pride and have fun participating in activities that celebrate our country and it’s traditions. Activities and games include Capture the Flag, watermelon eating contest, pie throwing contest, and patriotic themed crafts.

FIELD TRIP: Two Mile Run County Park Conservation District

WEEK 6 – JULY 8 -12 DOWN ON THE FARM
Join us for an exciting week of farm themed activities including games, crafts and creative snacks. Kids will play barnyard tag, “hot” potato relay races and “find the crazy chicken”.

FIELD TRIP: Port Farm Adventure

WEEK 7 – JULY 15 -19 SPLATTER
Ready, set… SPLATTER! Get ready to get messy this week! Explore your imagination and express yourself as you create with hands-on projects. Mold with clay, tie dye tee shirts or socks, make friendship bracelets, paint pet rocks, and more. Games include paint tag, living sculptures, and camp tie dye.

FIELD TRIP: Urban Air Trampoline Park

WEEK 8 – JULY 22 – 26 SPLASHTACULAR
Splash and explore this spectacular week while learning about the wonders of water and the creatures of the sea. Create splash artwork, water games, and bottle waves. Tag, slip and slide, water balloon toss, and get ready to be splashed all week long.

FIELD TRIP: Pittsburgh Zoo

WEEK 9 – JULY 29 – AUGUST 2 AARGH MATEY
Have some swashbuckling pirate fun this week through using maps t o find lost treasure, creating pirate disguises, trying shipwreck stew, capture the pirate flag and surviving the cannonball obstacle course.

FIELD TRIP: Titusville Roller Rink

WEEK 10 – AUGUST 5 – 9 SUPER SLIMEY
Get ready for a whacky week of icky, sticky, silly stuff created by you! This week isn’t for the light-hearted; it goes way beyond the school science project! Cine dressed to get dirty. We will make gack, goop, gump and glop.

FIELD TRIP: Pittsburgh Children’s Museum

WEEK 11 – AUGUST 12 – 16 ROCKSTAR EXTRAVAGANZA
Campers will shine during this week of creativity. Come and join us for a camp full of karaoke, theater, drama and talent. Activities will include a concert with skits, music, talent shows and performances by our campers.

FIELD TRIP: Urban Air Trampoline Park

WEEK 12 – AUGUST 19 – 22 CAMP COFFMAN SPIRIT WEEK
Summer adventures are better with friends! Join us as we close out our summer with a week filled with fun and excitement. Show us your camp spirit through goofy hats, crazy socks, minute to win it games, friendship circles, and whacky relays. Enjoy the great outdoors as we partake in summertime’s classic games.

Field trips are held every Friday. This year campers will visit Urban Air Trampoline Park, Carnegie Science Center, Farmer’s Inn & Beartown Rocks, Two Mile Run County Park, Waldameer, Hasson Heights Dek Hockey and swimming, Titusville Bowling Alley, Port Farm, and Clarion Pool.

Camp Coffman is located at 4072 Camp Coffman Road, Cranberry, Pa. Registration forms are available at www.campcoffman.com.

Children are grouped by age and will make friends and create lifelong memories under the direction of awesome camp counselors who care about them and believe in their potential.

The Summer Day Camp program begins at 8:00 a.m. and lasts until 4:00 p.m. Extended care is available from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Transportation is provided from the Clarion County YMCA and Oil City YMCA.

Summer Day Camp fees are comparable to child care costs. YMCA Members pay just $121.00 for a five day week or $95.00 for a three day week. Non-member fees are $148.00 for a five day week and $121.00 for a three day week. Financial aid is available based on income. Extended care and transportation is included in the weekly fee.
